Generic U.S. Gold Coins
This area of the store is dedicated to pre-1933 United States $5.00, $10.00 and $20.00 gold coins in affordable grades. These coins derive the majority of their value from their actual gold bullion content. Consequently, their premiums over melt are very small, making them a favorite of collectors and investors alike. It should be stressed that these are not modern coins, restrikes or fantasy pieces. Rather, these are historically significant pre-1933, legal-tender United States gold coins.
We are advocates of these vintage coins for the simple reason that they always have strong market support, regardless of the price of gold. Furthermore, they are much less common than most of their contemporary counterparts.
Please note, all coins are being sold by type only. Dates will be mixed and of our choice. There will likely be some date duplication on multiple-piece orders. As always, grading will be consistent with ANA standards.
The price that is confirmed at the time of your order will be the price you are committed to, regardless of any moves (plus or minus) in the actual gold spot price. Provided that we are able to fill your order, you are committed to your order, without exception. Our return privilege does not apply to Generic U.S. Gold Coin orders.

During periods of high activity in the gold spot price, the lower section of the page may display the message, "retrieving Gold Spot Price please refresh...". In this instance it is best to hit the "refresh" button on your browser or wait 60 seconds for the page to refresh on its own. If several minutes pass without a retrieved price, please call our offices at 301-724-0400 and one of our sales representatives will assist you with your purchase.
To place an order, please first check the coin in the respective grade that you wish to purchase. Then, enter the corresponding quantity. (The page will automatically enter a quantity of "1" when you check the checkbox.) Your price will be calculated based upon the real time gold market which uses the current spot gold price for its basis. Your total due is then calculated. Once you are satisfied with your order, click on the “Submit Order” button which will then add the order to your shopping cart.
Although this page interfaces with live spot gold prices, in rare instances an error may occur. The Reeded Edge will not be held responsible in the event of a hardware or software failure, an error with our interface or any other type of error or glitch that is beyond our control. In this event, we will notify you immediately, and you will not be liable for your order.
