Description
This is a 1793 LIBERTY CAP HALF CENT PCGS VF-30 RICH EVEN BROWN, STRONG DETAIL, FIRST YEAR. One of the first coins struck at the U.S. Mint with a mintage of just over 35,000, 1793 Half Cents are highly sought-after first year type coins and the only “Head Left” Half Cent issue for a U.S. Type set. The present example has rich, even olive brown surfaces with an even strike and extremely strong details for the grade. Surfaces marks and abrasions are light and very minimal, with one minor planchet streak in the obverse cap (these generally came on far less than perfect planchets). PCGS Price Guide suggests a value of $18,000 and with the most recent VF-30 example selling for in excess of $16,000, we do not feel the present example will last long! Don’t miss out! Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
