Description
This is a 1793 WREATH CENT, LETTERED EDGE, S-11C – NGC XF DETAILS CORROSION, PLEASING LOOK. An evenly struck first-year Wreath Cent with strong details and rich medium-brown surfaces. The rims are problem-free and there are none of the usual marks, scratches or large planchet defects often found on 1793 Cents. The surfaces have some very light areas of porosity, more evident on the reverse than the obverse. The light porosity, however, does not greatly detract from the coin’s overall pleasing appearance. Considering a no-comments graded XF-40 is a $25,000-30.000 coin, this one represents great value (and a great look) for the price.
