Description
This is a 1796 HALF DIME, LIKERTY, PCGS VF-30, OFF-OF-THE-MARKET FOR DECADES & SUPER PQ! Where do you start with this coin? Absolutely FRESH TO THE MARKET, let’s just say if all early half dimes looked like this, they would be worth two to three times their current values. Most people don’t realize the rarity of these early half dimes when they are problem-free. They are even more-so when possessing color and eye appeal like the present specimen. These were small, fragile coins, and for the most part, did not survive circulation well. Beautiful peripheral toning atop original, well struck surfaces really places this coin into a league of it’s own. Furthermore, it has never been back to PCGS for regrading (a distinct possibility that it would grade higher in today’s environment) or to a CAC for their review (which we feel, with almost certainty, that it would pass). The bottom line is, this coin requires no accolades or affirmations from grading services to stand on its own accord. It really is THAT nice! Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
