Description
This specific is a 1860 ABRAHAM LINCOLN-HAMLIN 7/8″ JUGATE FERROTYPE, EXC BRASS & CLEAR PORTRAITS, VG! As Lincoln Ferrotypes become tougher and tougher to locate, they have subsequently seen their values escalate. However, they remain one of the more “affordable” ways to own a period Abraham Lincoln campaign item. The present specimen displays an excellent shell, with only very minor wear and some luster remaining. The portraits themselves are crisp, neither too dark nor too light. The mica that overlays the portraits shows some characteristic scratches on the Lincoln side and bubbling on the Hamlin side. The piece was imaged at two different angles by design, so there should be no surprises. Overall, this ferrotytpe faces up nicely, and is not far from being a $3,000+ piece. Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
