The Reeded Edge recently purchased an immense U.S. stamp collection from an advanced lifetime collector. The collection spanned classics to commemoratives with extensive back-of-the-book also represented. Today’s offering will include selections from this collection. Buy with confidence, as we have made every attempt to disclose faults and characteristics of each lot, with a high degree of accuracy. We are also members of the APS (Rob Lehmann) and adhere to their code of ethics. PF, PSE or APEX extensions may be requested for any stamp, but the buyer will bear the costs of certification. With that said this is a POWERFUL UNITED STATES STAMP COLLECTION IN TWO WHITE ACE ALBUMS WITH SLIPCASES-CATALOG VALUE-$6000+. Higher value stamps have been left in. Included are mint and used singles, blocks, plate blocks and even some souvenir sheets. Most are in mounts although some (especially USED), have been hinged to pages. There is duplication throughout, and some faulty stamps are to be expected. None of the varieties have been verified, nor figured into the catalog value. When in doubt, everything was either figured as the most common variety or not figured at all. About 40% of the total stamps in the collection have been photographed-enough to give the prospective purchaser an indication of the overall value. There will still be many pleasant surprises. This is one of the many collections purchased by a midwestern gentleman over the course of half of a century. This collection is FRESH as can be, and hasn’t seen the light of day for over 30 years!
