Although the second design, after the initial Chain Cent, this cent is still from the first year of production and shows improvement in engraving, design and striking techniques of a fledgling United States Mint of 1793. This particular piece is very smooth and wholesome for the grade and presents overall somewhat nicer than the assigned grade.
