A tough Type 2 Gold Dollar, with an original mintage of just 24,600 and only about 350 estimated total survivors in all grades. This one is much, much tougher than the Philadelphia Mint Type 2 Dollars and scarcer than the 1855-O. A wholesome and original piece for a date that often comes lacking in many ways.
