Description
This is a 1861 $10 LIBERTY GOLD EAGLE – PCGS MS-62, RARE! DESIRABLE, PREMIUM QUALITY++! CAC APPROVED! Wow! A wonderful coin that we were excited to acquire! This one seemingly has everything going for it! A desirable No Motto $10 Liberty from the onset of the American Civil War, this Half Eagle is well-struck with cartwheel and semi-prooflike luster more commonly found on later $10 Liberties. Unlike some of the unattractive “dirty European” coins floating around, this piece is fully brilliant and sparkling fresh! Marks are minimal and the coin faces up choice or better at first glance. The population is just 13 at PCGS with only 10 total coins finer. Additionally there are only 5 CAC MS-62s, with only a single finer awarded a CAC sticker. Based on that information, one could argue that this 1861 $10 is one of the 5-10 finest pieces available for the date! The only coin we see in the marketplace at present is a non-CAC MS-63 being offered at $30,000. Opportunity knocks here! Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
