This is a 1863 TY 3 $1 GOLD DOLLAR – PCGS AU-55, VERY RARE!  A super rare Civil War dated gold dollar!  Don’t miss this one.  From an original mintage of just 6,200 pieces, only about 85 TOTAL coins are believed to survive.  This is the rarest Philadelphia Gold Dollar of the 1860s and the rarest gold dollar in UNC after 1861.  It is only slightly less rare than the famed 1875 Gold Dollar, and actually scarcer in Mint State.  This piece, graded AU-55, is medium gold and fully struck with deeper reddish-gold highlights.   Considering a PCGS AU-55 hasn’t traded in auction in nearly 10 years, and a 58 hasn’t traded on over 6 years, this is a RARE opportunity.  Don’t miss out!  Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices.
