Description
This is a 1887 $1 GOLD DOLLAR – PCGS MS-67+ CAC, STUNING & VIRTUALLY FLAWLESS, RARE!! A low mintage Type 3 Gold Dollar, only 7,500 pieces were produced. As the U.S. Mint was winding down the production of the Gold Dollar, some nice mint state examples of this date did get saved by collectors of the day, but virtually none come this nice! Graded MS-67+ and awarded a CAC Sticker, this 1887 has a population of 5 with only 7 finer. The CAC sticker only makes it even more elusive. Rich creamy surfaces that are pristine and iridescent coloration make this a “WOW” coin. PCGS suggests a value of $10,000, and that doesn’t account for the CAC sticker. These things seem to be a great value compared to other gold out there! Our commitment is to provide you with quality coins and collectibles at the best possible prices. This piece is no exception. Please note, the coin and collectibles markets do fluctuate, and prices occasionally will change. In this rare circumstance, we will contact you first to verify your order.
