This is a 1896 $5 SILVER CERTIFICATE EDUCATIONAL FR#268 PMG VF-25, MINOR RESTORATION, NICE! A really nice looking note, given the assigned grade. Sadly, someone was very disappointed upon grading this note, as they felt it was much nicer. We don’t personally see the “minor restoration” but PMG asserts that it was “helped” a bit. Has nice, bright color for one of these and doesn’t have the “washed out” look they generally have. An affordable way to own arguably the most beautiful note the United States ever printed.
