This is a 2021 TY 1 AMERICAN SILVER EAGLE 1 OZ PCGS MS-70 AT DUSK AT DAWN 269TH TO LAST COIN! Three of these modern rarities were purchased by a customer of ours when these were released in 2021. The other two sold quickly. This is the final one from him AND the lowest numbered to to the end of the final Type 1 American Silver Eagles! After striking the same design Silver Eagle for 35 years, in the 36th year, the reverse design for the American Silver Eagle was changed. The final 500 coins struck of the original Type 1 Reverse American Silver Eagles were set aside by the United States Mint and designated with the At Dusk & At Dawn label. Each of the final 500 coins were individually numbered on the holder (this one being #269) and came with a custom U.S. Mint issued booklet and a letter from then-U.S. Mint director Ventris C. Gibson. These seem to be nearly impossible to find in perfect PCGS MS-70! Most only grade MS-69 and the PCGS Population Report shows just 35 in MS-70 with this At Dusk & At Dawn Label!
